Orange peeling platter inspired by SCAD professor Yves Paquette. Always encouraging us to think outside of the box, he prompted us with creating a serving platter dedicated to a specific food that we haven't seen before. Practical? No. A fun design? Yes!

THE PROCESS

This was made during COVID-19 when SCAD classes had first transitioned to being virtual. Made in my backyard, this platter was formed from slabs, scored, slipped and attached. Amaco mid-white clay and Amaco velvet underglazes. ​
